Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met a gathering of students and educators at the Young Innovators Summit organized by Microsoft India at the India Habitat Centre, Delhi on 26 February, 2020. The Young Innovators Summit brought together over 250 students and educators in Delhi NCR. Vikas Bharati was one of the privileged schools all over India to have been selected to showcase their project to Satya Nadella.Ms Amita Gupta (Vice Principal), Ms Anni Kumar(HOD Computer Science) and Ms Anjali Malhotra (Computer Science Teacher) along with 16 students witnessed the programme. Fourstudents(Sagar Dabas, AyushAtey, Dhanush Bajaj and Chirag Jha)of XI-Science along with their mentor Ms Anni Kumar presented their AI (Artificial Intelligence) project on ‘My Personal Speech Therapist’ to Satya Nadella. He was very impressed with the project and in a Talk Show with Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India, spoke about the project and could see the deep empathy reflected by the children. He also emphasised the role of technologyin transforming the education ecosystem over the next decade, outlining the opportunity students have today to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems with technology.
Speaking at the summit, Satya, said, “We need to reformulate the relationship between technology and learning. It is very interesting to witness the way young innovators think today. What excited and inspired me from my meetings with students was the quality of their ideas, the scope of their ambition, deep passion and deep empathy turning into action. This is truly transformative, and is how societies and economies move forward.”
The session was very enriching and informative for the students and gave a good insight on AI, Machine Learning & Deep Learning. The meet instilled great enthusiasm and motivated students.
An educational excursion to the National Science Centre was organised for the students of middle school. The aim of this visit was to awaken the interest of the young, curious learners in the field of Science. Students went to the auditorium first where the 'Vigyan Samagam' exhibition was held and then later got the opportunity to explore the entire Science Centre. They were enthralled to see different galleries, explaining even the most difficult topics in a fun and easy manner.

It was yet another attempt to make learning fun and to take teaching beyond the four walls of the classroom. This ingeniously built structure was awe inspiring for students. It was an enriching and exhilarating experience for our budding young minds.

"All classrooms don't have walls"
On 22nd January the students of astronomy club along with other students from 5th to 11th visited Astroport, Sariska, Alwar, Rajasthan. It was an overnight observation in which students studied night sky with the help of big telescopes. Students were taught to handle DSLR cameras with time lapse app. Students visited site trip where they saw organic farming, solar panels and rainwater harvesting system. The VBPS young astronauts enjoyed a lot.
Organic food was served in dinner and breakfast which was really amazing. After watching different planets, constellations meteoroids and satellites etc students enjoyed bonfire and music.Though the session ended by 2:30a.m. even then no one slept rest of night and kept themselves busy in various meaningful activities like observing night sky with telescopes, singing and dancing and astro photography. Sharp at 7:15a.m. the group started the return journey. This overnight trip was great learning experience for students with real enjoyment.

A social Skills activity is conducted every Friday in the zero period for classes VI-VIII. The topic for this week's activity was 'Social Interaction Party Planning Activity'. Students were divided into groups and asked to plan a party. This activity not only helped strengthen their bond with each other but also made them learn about responsibility. The fervent discussions and smiling faces spoke about the success of this activity. Overall it was an enriching and enjoyable experience for the students.
Breakup with Single Use Plastic
The initiative taken up by Vikas Bhartians in full swing. A small presentation to spread the awareness among parents was arranged on Saturday, Oct 19. Students enthusiastically presented the Plastic Anthem on all school floors to enliven their presentation.

- They exchange their notebooks and find out case and its types . AMP box was used in the class and students were come out and clear the doubts of others.

In class VI the concept of standard units of measurement was explained through Pair sharing and Experiential Learning.
- Students were asked to measure the length of their desk using Handspan and to compare the same with the length measured by their partner.
- Concept of standard units of measurement was introduced effectively.
Use of AMP Box was done effectively.
- Names of Students were called and they were asked to measure the length of the board using ancient units.
- Comparison between ancient and SI units was introduced effectively.
Use of SI units was explained with Pair sharing.
- Students were called in pairs , and their heights were compared using ancient and standard units.They enjoyed doing this activity and understood the differences between SI units and ancient units

Educational trip of class VI to National Museum held on 3 & 4 December 2019.Through this initiative of outdoor learning ,students discovered interesting facts and information right from Pre-historic era to Modern work art. It gave the students an indepth knowledge about Harappan Civilization,Barter System,and the different kinds of coins from Gupta Period.The Museum also had display of traditional tribal costumes of the seven sisters of India ex. Assamese culture followed by different Indian instruments. At the end the students appreciated the remarkable statue of Buddha and the jewellery box made of elephants' teeth .
